BabyBump.net is gearing up for our first annual Family Fun Fest 2008! Proceeds from this charity event will benefit the Rose Brooks Center, an organization dedicated to breaking the cycle of domestic violence in the KC Metro Area. The 2008 Family Fun Fest will be held at The Zen Zone in Lee’s Summit (413 NW Murray Road) on July 12th, 2008 from 2:00-6:00 pm.

The event will be open to the public and will feature over 30 vendors from the site, a maternity fashion show, giveaways, games, prizes, a baby crawl contest, yoga for babies, a cutest baby contest, a free moonwalk for kids, clowns, face painting, snow cones and more. Kids will be admitted for free.
Adult admission will be $5 or a donation of size 4 diapers, formula, baby wipes or towels for the families served by the Rose Brooks Center. All proceeds from the event will benefit the organization and its efforts.

Rose Brooks Center is a comprehensive domestic violence agency that provides a full continuum of care including prevention programming, crisis intervention and other supportive services to thousands of women and children each year. They offer an emergency shelter for up to 75 women and children, a violence prevention program in 37 schools, a hospital advocacy program located in six area hospitals, a children’s therapeutic program, court advocacy, outreach counseling and a Transitional Housing Program.
